Tango Transit - Angel Rush

Friday, December 20, 2019, 8:00 p.m., Alte Papierfabrik, Ebertsheim

The German trio Tango Transit interprets Christmas carols in an unusually independent way. Not à la "swinging christmas" - Martin Wagner, Hanns Höhn and Andreas Neubauer play an original, jazzy and groovy game with tradition and thus hit the emotions in an almost magical way.

The cabaret artist and music writer Konrad Beikircher put it this way: "Christmas - counter-brushed in shape but the feeling remains, no, it has become cleaner, more intense. The result is music that was previously unheard of and that you never leave becomes. An angel rush for noise angels. "

Since 2004, Hanns Höhn and Martin Wagner have been delighting viewers as a duo with the winter jazz program 'Engelrausch' every year in December: Engelrausch - played by Tango Transit. After more than 100 Tango-Transit concerts, they made the logical step in 2012 and expanded the duo to a trio with drummer Andreas Neubauer. Together they conjure up a wonderful Christmas world and give the songs back their original character, without cloves and cinnamon, but with a natural groove, highest sensitivity, musical variety and freshness in improvisation, virtuoso and rousing. Simply intoxicating.

HATTLER

Friday, June 7th, 2019, 8:00 p.m., Alte Papierfabrik, Ebertsheim

Hellmut Hattler is legendary in Germany (KRAAN, TAB TWO, SIYOU'n'HELL) and is also a constant in the international scene as a musician's musician.

Hardly any German musician has distinguished himself as consistently as an instrumentalist and songwriter with such an unmistakable musical language, and has also constantly developed himself further without losing the thread of his musical recognizability as Echo Prize winner and exceptional bassist Hellmut Hattler. For several years now, he has been focusing all of his experience and passion on his favorite HATTLER project.

BAR KODY - Kosho & Katja Ohde - The soul of song

Friday, December 21, 2018, 8:00 p.m., Alte Papierabrik Ebertsheim

One voice, one guitar - and perhaps the most beautiful songs in the world.

What happens when the charismatic Berlin singer KATJA OHDE reinterprets classic songs like John Lennon's 'Imagine', Carole King's 'You've got a friend' or Sting's 'Every breath you take' with the bustling Mannheim guitarist KOSHO?
The essence, beauty and soul of these lovingly selected songs become audible - and a uniquely intense experience.

BAR KODY is more than a duo: it is a grooving minimal orchestra. Intimate, unpretentious and with subtle eroticism, KATJA OHDE sings and phrases. KOSHO plays the guitar virtuously and emotionally - to take the audience with you for an evening together: on a journey into musical freedom, into the world of love for perhaps the best pop songs ever written.

KOSHO, the experienced exceptional guitarist who, in addition to three solo albums as a singer / songwriter, also makes the jazz clubs of the republic simmer with the Hammond trio COBODY, helps to create sleep concerts in churches and plays shows in sold-out stadiums as the guitarist of the SÖHNE MANNHEIMS, knows how musical tension is created and dissolved again.
KATJA OHDE, the newcomer, brings drive, light and confidence into songs with her singing, which sound fresh and exciting in provocative new versions.

The diversity of the new interpretations is also reflected in their own pieces. Touching country images of a vacation trip increase in 'Over Yonder' into a house ecstasy, sensitive and hypnotic in 'X-Change' it is about giving and taking in all facets of life and this is also how the 'worst case scenario' takes place in the form of a dirty blues riff. Even if a song like 'Be here' has a neo-soul sound - all styles merge in the eclectic world of this duo to the unmistakable BAR KODY sound: surprising and intense.

Admission: € 15.00, reduced € 10.00

50 years of Guru Guru

Saturday, June 9th, 2018, 8:00 p.m., Alte Papierfabrik, Ebertsheim

Five decades of music without interruption - almost three and a half thousand concerts - countless records and CDs - never rested on their laurels, always with head, body and soul "groovin 'on vinyl - flammin' on the road", the band really doesn't notice the long journey , as before, is poured out to the esteemed audience regardless of loss.

Christmas Groove with Ignaz Netzer and Werner Acker

Friday, December 22, 2017, 8:00 p.m., Alte Papierabrik Ebertsheim

The program of the two musicians Werner Acker and Ignaz Netzer is a special treat not only for friends of string music. As a novelty in German jazz history, the university lecturer for filigree jazz guitar meets the all-round grounded gospel and bluesman. The result is a top-class musical cocktail of the most varied of genres, framed by their own ballad-like compositions, about which the Heilbronn voice recently wrote: "The duo succeeds in achieving harmony between virtuosity, musicality and creativity. Their musical cosmos seems to know no bounds."

Loners United

Saturday, June 24, 2017, 8:00 p.m., Alte Papierfabrik Ebertsheim

Neil Young on the road in Germany ??! It would be nice...
... but at least his music can be heard when the Loners United bring the master's songs on stage.
