- Kim-Johann Tiefnig, Alexander Kerpe and Moritz Gränke prevail in the end - Together they want to start their own gold business next summer - "The chance for a new life!"

The weeks of drudgery are over: "Gold Rush on the Yukon - The Adventure of Your Life", Germany's first gold digger casting show, came to an end yesterday evening with a dramatic finale. Juror and show host David Millar finally decided on a team of three candidates: Kim-Johann Tiefnig, Alexander Kerpe and Moritz Gränke prevailed after 40 days from over 8000 applicants, and against nine other participants, and now have the opportunity to to realize their dream of life as a gold digger. In cooperation with juror and host David Millar, they will return to the Yukon in the Canadian summer of 2019 and manage their own gold claim.

Before that, the final episode really got down to business. After the yield of gold nuggets was rather meager, the gold rush finally broke out over the camp. Almost 4 ounces of the purest Yukon gold were split among the six finalists in the end. Extrapolated over the entire season, this would mean a turnover of half a million euros. Despite the strong team performance in the sextet, the decision for three participants meant the end: Anna Haut, Lea Stahl and Etienne Schweizer were ultimately unable to convince David Millar. "It was difficult," confirms the Yukon legend. "But I had to choose the ones that best suit me, the camp and the projects we want to work on next year."

Meanwhile, Kim, Alex and Moritz are already preparing for their next trip to Canada. "This is the chance for a new life, and for me personally a giant step towards where I want to be.", Moritz looks ahead. Alex is also in the starting blocks: "The preparations have already started. As soon as I came back, I started organizing my life accordingly." Kim is also looking forward to 2019: "An engineer, a mechanic and me as an operator - what more could you want? I think we'll rock this thing".
